This memoir is written for those who feel unseen, overwhelmed, or on the edge, offering both honesty about mental suffering and a clear path towards Christ. Long Story Short, I Survived combines raw personal narrative with a faith-centered message, aiming to meet readers in their darkest moments while ultimately pointing them to Christ as the source of healing and restoration.

                          Intro

 I wrote this book once before. My tears, heavy with memories, transformed into wisdom as I poured out my soul across the screen. Every chapter, paragraph, sentence and word has a small piece of my heart tied to it. Vulnerable, to say the least, is the state I’ve placed myself in. My intent is not to focus the eyes of my readers on me, by placing myself on my own pedestal. A pedestal where I could look down to all of the “broken” or “weak” souls demonstrating how I, by my own grit, accomplished something you can only dream of. No, instead my intent and life’s purpose is to reach out to you, walk into your storm find you and guide you through it. I see you. Although my heart is to carry you to keep your legs from growing weary, bury your head into my shoulder to shield your eyes from seeing the darkness, shield you with my hands from the rain, guard you with my body from flying debris, take on any and all pain you feel and bring you to the light where you belong, I have to let you fight. I have to let you experience every excruciating moment. For it’s those moments, the moments in life that feel the most unbearable, that strengthen us for the next. It’s these moments that allow you to experience the darkness, so you know what light looks like. My story will be your lighthouse one you can trust to guide you to the One who can heal you. This is the story of how I survived the darkness you’re suffocating in.
